John Alvarado (Mista A) began his recording career with Brad Raker in a partnership called M-Five. This super duo had a string of chart topping successes including the legendary 'Lift Me Up'. More recently, they have done a slew of remix work and are producing new artists on their label Decibel Recordings.
John went on to receive his doctorate in education (EdD), and is currently pursuing a doctorate of medicine. By night he is one of South Florida's biggest DJs and you can find him spinning at every high profile club including Space, Crobar, Opium Garden and Jackhammer. With a booming recording career well underway, John is currently slated to release 3 new tracks this summer.
John's unusual style of music programming has gained him international acclaim and can only be described as funky chunky dirty beats, hence the name of his new recording moniker FCDB . John also founded the USA's first true 'Save the Wax' campaign appropriately named The Vinyl Preservation Society which actively promotes use of vinyl records along with other recording media in live dj sets. His current projects include a legendary remix of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine and Grace Jones's Slave to the Rhythm. John also has just completed the long anticipated new M-Five single with recording partner Brad Raker which will be released August 2005 on Decibel Recordings.
