Alex Celler was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and studied classical piano from the age of 8. He moved to London in early 2004 to study music production and audio engineering.
In June 2005 he achieved a No.1 in the DMC Update Issue of the month with ''Stop the Groove'', a phat progressive house tune. The same month he made his London dj debut, playing for Ibiza's Space Official Party in London, La Troya Assesina. Later on, by November 2005 he picked up a residency in London's monthly club, Fly. In February 2006, two of his progressive house tracks,'' Murder on a Sunday Morning'' and ''Bonanza'' were released in Technic's digital label Squaremusic. On May 6th 2006 "Tobacco Grooves" was released on Younan Music followed by "The Sound Machine EP" in August of the same year. In July 2006 Alex started a digital record label, Caedmon Records, with his partner X Green, releasing progressive and tech house with characteristic energy and groove in the music. Starting in September 2006, you can catch Alex Celler every first Friday of the month on Danceradio.gr - Greece's best online radio or at his monthly resident at London's club The Egg, spinning the latest underground house music.
His aim is to improve all the time and create high quality electronic dance music with interesting content and unique character. In his owns words Alex describe his sound as ''...dirty, groovy, hypnotic and underground house music...''
Alex also believes in the power of the groove in music, something that excludes very atmospheric and trippy records from his discography and his mixes. His exotic and underground tribal and tech house sets, are straightforward sounds full of passion, energy, vibrating rhythms & phat bass lines''
